Somatic therapy & voice work with Kate Montague:
A path to taking your power back

Working together

The approach

If you are feeling challenged in some way by life circumstances, I offer you my support and services as a skilled practitioner. I work with people who want to make a shift, and I work in the service of this. My initial aim is to identify together the challenges you face, or what you feel is holding you back. The work will help you to get to know these blocks, change the relationship with them, and learn how to allow what’s stuck to move. My intention is to help you connect to your innate healing capacity and to access it through the therapeutic process.

My approach is structured, intuitive and insightful, blending somatic therapy, mindset work, trauma release, and voice work. Each session is a space for you to work with your unique need, question or dilemma, while supporting your over-arching intention for the therapy.

“My approach is structured, intuitive and insightful, blending somatic therapy, mindset work, trauma release, and voice work.”

“Over time you will be able to more easily pivot and move through challenging emotional experiences.”

There is no blanket approach and the process is not always linear, yet generally follows these core steps and phases:

Nervous system regulation

By addressing the physiological aspects of trauma and how you respond to challenging emotional experiences in life, the therapy helps to regulate the nervous system, reducing symptoms of anxiety, hypervigilance, and emotional dysregulation. When you’re regulated, you will feel your calm and be more fully grounded and present.

Developing body-mind connection

Through embodiment practices that include grounding, breathwork, movement, bioenergetics, and voice work you become more attuned to your bodily sensations and experiences, and this helps to surface unconscious adaptive patterns of behaviour, and blocks. This work is the path toward identifying your most authentic self-expression while building awareness of how your “survival-based” self shows up. An enhanced mind-body connection promotes a sense of wholeness and aliveness in all layers of the self; mental, emotional, energetic physical, and spiritual.

Processing emotions

The therapy can help you process and release emotions that may have been suppressed or difficult to access through talk therapy alone. You will feel less hijacked or stuck by big emotions, and over time to be able to more easily pivot and move through challenging emotional experiences.

Location and fees

I am based in Shepherds Bush in West London, and for somatic therapy I see people in person. I do work online with some clients who are based outside London or abroad, however we have generally worked in person first. For voice work I can offer sessions in-person or online.Get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Cost per hourly session is £120. I am open to discussing a sliding scale pending on your financial situation. I generally suggest taking an initial series of 5-8 sessions to feel a shift.
